Welcoming a newborn baby into the family is one of the happiest and most exciting times in your life. Your newborn session will be an experience you will never regret. If you are a first time mom, you truly do not know just how fast time flies after having a baby. They grow SO fast!! Newborn portraits freeze this time and capture all those tiny details of your new most favorite little person!
These days it’s really essential to do your homework when looking for a newborn photographer, especially with so many new photographers popping up and offering newborn photography services after photographing a baby or two. If quality and safety are important to you, someone with experience and specialized training is something you need. I have ten years of experience now and am up to date in infant CPR and posing for safety.

Designed with your comfort in mind, my studio provides you and your family with a comfortable area to relax and enjoy your session. Complete with a comfortable couch, drinks, and a fully-stocked diaper changing area you won’t have to worry about forgetting anything at home.
When it comes to props, I have more than you could ever imagine. From all the colors and different textures, to high end props and sweet floral tieback and bonnets, there is plenty for you to choose from!

Newborn Session Information
When is the best time to book a newborn session?
When is the best time to have my baby's photos done?
If you are in your second trimester, it is the perfect time to book your newborn session. Only a few newborns are booked per month; these spots tend to fill quickly. On occasion, there may be a last-minute spot available but this is not guaranteed.
The best time to have your baby’s photos done is within those first 10-21 days of life. Upon booking, your due date acts as your tentative booking. Once your baby arrives, we will schedule your baby’s session according to their age. It may seem like this is early, but babies cooperate and do quite well during their sessions while they are still very fresh.
What do I need to bring to my newborn session?
What if I feel (and look) awful? Do I have to be in photos?
Nothing! Absolutely everything is provided for you. There is no need to bring along anything extra other than yourselves, your diaper bag, milk (bottles) and your brand new bundle of joy.
You do not “have” to be in the images, but I strongly encourage you to be! A lot of my moms feel this way, which is why complimentary hair & makeup is now included during your session. While I am photographing your baby in the beginning, you will be getting your hair & makeup done while watching.
What if my baby does not cooperate?
How do I book my newborn session?
It is extremely rare for me to not be able to soothe your baby. I keep the studio warm, lights low and have over eight years of practice wrapping, soothing and keeping babies calm. Your little one may be uncomfortable due to gas or tummy pains, however, we keep the session at an easy pace to go along with babies needs.
Everything starts with a conversation – contact the studio directly and we will personally give you all the information you need, from what to expect before, during and after your session and what it will cost. I only book a set number of sessions per month in order to ensure each client receives the experience they deserve. These spots fill quickly, so inquire at your earliest convenience. Once your session fee is paid, your date is reserved and no one can take it from you.
